Last night was the annual Chocolate, Wine and all that Jazz event at Boehm’s Candies. This annual Issaquah foodie event benefits the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce.
Participating restaurants were; Agave, Filo’s [replacing the Field of Champions Sports Bar, check it out!], Tutta Bella, Qdoba, The Melting Pot, Extreme Pizza, Cascade Garden, Gemini Fish, My Chef Lynn, Fall City Roadhouse, University House [a standout again this year with their grilled ahi tuna and Mongolian beef “street tacos”] and of course Boehm’s Candies, the host.
Participating wineries were; Passion Vineyards, Twin Cedars, Wildridge, Airfield Estates, Michael Florentino, Cedar River Cellars, Redmond Ridge, Tempest Sol, Rogue Brewhouse, Pandora Cellars [I bought two bottles of their awesome reds. They sold out of the Tempest Sol “Shadow” which was my first choice.] All of the wines were very good, as was the food.
This year there was nearly unlimited food and unlimited tastings from the wineries. Which makes the $40 entrance fee an incredible bargain! Mark it on you calendar for next year!
And because I didn’t get enough great food last night our resident Grillmaster Jordan roasted up a batch of Costco ribs for BBQ Friday. God I love this job!
